Cheese: also good with beer

Jan 10, 2009

As many of you know, I'm turning 21 very soon. Woohoo, alcohol, here I come!

Just kidding, although it will be nice to order a nice glass of wine with dinner (when my parents pay) and test out some fun, girly drinks as well.

Anyway, in keeping with the themes of alcohol and staying classy, something I always strive for, I bring you the "Wisconsin Cheese Cupid" (which I found on the Amazon blog), a site that pairs different alcoholic beverages with, well, cheese.

Now, I'm a big fan of cheese myself, so I think that when I have my own apartment and have classy dinner parties, I'll be able to use this clever gadget to pair my cheese and cracker hors d'oeuvres with whatever everyone's drinking.

Currently, my alcohol knowledge is limited to whatever my parents have told me, a short stint of  bar hopping in Israel (where I was legal at 18) and, you know, college parties.

Hopefully, the Cheese Cupid will guide me to my drink's "soul mate" - their words, not mine.

Check it out, it's kind of cute.

Oh this is perfect! I swear, I've been drinking for.. well.. a lot of years now, and I generally just match flags.. Italian cheese.. italian wine.. Sure, there may be no swiss wine.. but rhymes with bliss, and bliss for me is a good Malbec from Argentina.. so swiss cheese and Malbec. It's a system. You'll find one. xo

I LOVE pairing wine with cheese. There really are some AMAZING combinations! You can even get a book about it. that may be a fun 21st birthday! You can ask each person to bring a bottle of wine that mixes with a cheese. It is a pretty cheap and fun way (classy way) to celebrate a 21st birthday?
