When did computer nerds become so hot?
Jan 11, 2009
Today I went to the Apple Store to get my Mac looked at. Recently, it's been randomly freezing, so I figured I should get it checked out before I go back to school. This way, my dad could come with me and ask all of the right questions/tell me what to do if it came down to paying to get it fixed vs. buying a new computer.
The Mac Genius, Adam, checked out my computer and worked his magic. He was very cute in that "I'm a huge computer nerd" sort of way. He had very short finger nails, so I knew just by looking that he was a biter.
Of course, because I sometimes speak before thinking, I actually asked him if he was a nail biter. When he he admitted that indeed, he does bite his nails, I told him he should stop.
Keep in mind, I'd known this guy for approximately 15 minutes. 15 minutes, and I was asking him to change. Great, Alana.
Well, Adam did some more stuff to my computer and then turned it around so it was facing me.
"Do whatever you'd normally do on your computer and we'll see if it's still having problems," he said and walked away.
What I normally do...hmmm.
So, I went on the Internet, checked Facebook, etc. My dad told me I should write a blog entry. I was intrigued, but knew that the only thing I'd end up writing about was Adam, the cute Mac Genius.
I can see it now: My browser opened to Typepad, I'd write the words "Adam is such a hottie" and then my computer would inevitably freeze. Adam would appear to fix the freezing issues and see what I'd written.
So no, I didn't write a blog entry, because it would have ended in disaster, trust me.
We'll see how my computer fairs- if I have issues again, I'll have to take it to the Mac store in Boston, and who knows if Boston's Mac Geniuses are as cute as their Baltimore counterparts.

Well if you haven't had any freezing problems yet, I guess Adam DID work his magic!
The last two times I was at the Apple store the "geniuses" were super hot! I had to replace my iPhone and the next time I was in to buy a gift. I'm seriously thinking of buying a MacBook when I need a new laptop... mostly b/c of the hotness. Apple has something there.
truth fact, my computer froze while reading this post
Lol.
There used to be a ridiculously good looking guy who worked at the Apple store in Cambridgeside Galleria. I'm not sure if he's still there, but he had gorgeous blue eyes and blonde hair.
that is adorably funny! telling a (Mac genius) stranger to change his habits...i bet you he will probably think of you the next time he goes to biteoff another fingernail.
Nerds are the new black. Ubiquitous and awesome. And this entire post has solidified my resolve to get a Mac. Thanks ladies..
I have always had a thing for computer nerds. The ones with glasses and shaggy hair. Hot.
Just an other fine reason to go into an Apple store!
