The Good Girl Gone Blog: My latest project

The Good Girl Gone Blog

My latest project

Mar 17, 2009

As you know, I'm taking a couple of design classes here at good old BU. Well, as promised, here's my latest piece of "art."

The assignment: create a candy ad that appeals to the college demographic.
Must include a slogan containing no more than 3 words
(the teacher OKed my 4 words...), the name of the product and a Web address.

Picture 1

When we presented our first drafts for critiquing a few weeks ago. This conversation occurred:

Flamboyant boy: I feel like some of these advertisements wouldn't appeal to college students.
Teacher: Are there any specific examples that bother you?
FB: Audrey Hepburn.
Teacher: Hmm...Alana, would you care to explain yourself?
Alana: What? Oh ok. I mean, do you know how many college girls have pictures of Audrey Hepburn in their dorm rooms?
Teacher: Yeah, she's kind of an icon. I see her every semester.

Touche! I'd understand if my criticizer (critic?) was  a regular, uncultured, poorly dress boy, but he wasn't. Sorry honey, Audrey Hepburn will never go out of style
